A Little Learning

A person in colorful jester attire stands on a scenic pathway, holding a scroll. Text below reads, "I wear not bookwork in my brain."

Children have impressive intuitions.  They are curious and engrossed in the physical work around them.  In their innocence, they see and say things missed by the well-furrowed habits of educated adults. There’s a reason children are the only one’s found worthy of the ‘mouth of babes.’  Today’s world must learn to go back to the basics.  We must even more turn to and respect the child’s aversion for books and homework.

First, America is brimming with happiness and content.  What America needs is more technology and workers. If anyone looks around them, the struggles and competition for just getting a job interview are ferocious.  (https://carreernewsamerica.org/workers-riot-as-job-positions-saturate/)

With such an economy, it would be foolish for children simply to sit and twiddle their minds as their thumbs itch for manual skills and honest labor.  Abstract book learning is outdated and behind the times. Why else would anyone think of eliminating the Department of Education?

Second, running children through a one-answer-per-question gauntlet completely kills creativity.  According to Dr. M’Grin, studies show that when children are taught questions have one correct answer, this prevents their minds from seeing other possibilities.  (https://sciencestudies.com/worst-way-to-teach-children/) Innovation requires minds that are open to as many possibilities as possible.   Our society needs more technology and less emphasis on truth and the true purpose in life, which are all relative anyway.

In summary, education has reached a new epoch.  Now is the time to throw off the chains from oppressed children, the chains of homework and the mind!  Now is the time to realize what babes already utter, that homework is useless and the hands of trade reign supreme.    Perhaps today is the only chance we can get – the only change we will take – to exalt in infantile wisdom and celebrate the glorious victory of work and technology over the frivolous fruits of truth and the mind!

Today is the day.
